When Oriental medicine was introduced to the western world, western minds were amazed that so-called psychosomatic illnesses responded to acupuncture treatment, and even more amazed when they began to unlock the secrets of the central nervous system; how it controls the overall body’s functions and the function of its individual organs. By stimulating the trunk of the central nervous system and the branches / meridians one can receive temporary pain relief for example.

In Chinese medicine emotional areas for each vital organ link disturbances in the associated vital organs; Lung – grief, sadness, intolerance, low self-esteem. Ear Candles

This is soothing, relaxing and can relieve pressure and pain in the ear and head area. Treatment can also free nasal breathing, improve sense of smell and be helpful for earache, headache, ear noise, stress and nervousness.

Ear candles have a purely physical function producing a light suction action and movement of air in the ear candle, generating a massage-like effect on the eardrum.

History; The magic of fire has fascinated people from the very beginning of time and Ear candles evoke a similar fascination having been used by many cultures since ancient times. The peoples of the Siberian prairies, Asia and native North and South American Indians mention Ear candles in their myths, with ancient rock paintings showing ear candles being used at initiation rituals and medicinal ceremonies.

The Hopi, the oldest Pueblo people, who possess great medicinal knowledge and spirituality, brought this knowledge to Europe.

How Ear Candles Work

The healing properties of the Hopi Ear Candle has its foundation in two primary physical actions.

Firstly, the slight under pressure (the chimney effect) inside the Ear Candle and the vibration of the rising air column serve to gently massage the ear drum and promote secretion in the frontal and paranasal sinuses. This has an immediate subjective effect of regulating and balancing ear pressure. Users often describe a soothing, light sensation in the ear and head area.

Secondly, the locally applied warmth stimulates vascularization, invigorates the immune system and reinforces the flow of lymph. At the same time, important acupuncture points and reflex zones are stimulated.

Ear candles are soothing, helpful and excellent in the treatment of:

  • Sinusitis
  • Headaches
  • T.M.J. or jaw pain
  • Ear aches
  • Otitis Externa
  • Tropical Ear
  • Tinnitus
  • Ear Noise
  • Many stress related symptoms
  • Balancing Ear Pressure
  • Nervousness

The effect after treatment is a soothing, pressure and pain relieving sensation, mainly in the ear and head regions.

Clearer nasal breathing and an improved sense of smell (even when the nose was blocked before treatment) are often experienced, as well as a wonderful relaxed feeling, a deep sense of security and a feeling of happiness are often experienced.
